The infinitive with ‘to’ or -ing after a verb?
What’s the rule for whether we use the -ing form or to + infinitive?
Sorry, there isn’t a rule. You have to learn which verbs go with which pattern. Here you have some examples, but these are just a few. There are many more!

Verb + to + verb

Verb + -ing + verb
